COVID 19 Frequently Asked Questions, in accordance to CDC Guidelines: 

• At this time, CDC guidance states, “There is currently no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or visitation service with the body of someone who died of COVID-19.” However, the CDC also notes, “People should consider not touching the body of someone who has died of COVID-19.” 
• All contracts must be paid in full before applying to FEMA. FEMA only REIMBURSES a funeral contract, but does not pay beforehand. Payment is required at the signing of the contract. 
• Payment Procedures: 
• FEMA is offering full/semi reimbursement for families who have lossed someone who has had COVID. To apply for reimbursement, please go to the link: https://www.fema.gov/disaster/coronavirus/economic/funeral-assistance
• You will need the following to apply for reimbursement 
• Copy of the death certificate with the cause of death, that includes COVID as a contributing factor 
• Copy of contract with the funeral home 
• Embalming procedures: 
• Embalming is required for all viewing or services. This is for everyone’s safety as more information develops regarding COVID. 
• If shipping is required, embalming or dry ice is required for the flight. 
• Our funeral home only provides domestic flights, not international flights.
