Edward Marcus Oglesby

Edward (Mark) Marcus Oglesby

Edward (Mark) Marcus Oglesby, 80, passed away peacefully on February 3rd 2025. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Claudia. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Lori (Scott), and is survived by his youngest daughter, Lisa (Matt). He was a cherished grandfather to Mallori (Ryan), Emily (Aaron), Elisabeth, and Jackson, and great-grandfather to Lainey and Riley. He was also a proud and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Mark held many roles throughout his life, none were as important to him as being a grandfather. He was a constant source of love and support for his grandchildren, cheering them on in all their pursuits. From theater and dance to sports and beyond, they are impacted daily by his “MO-isms”. His influence was subtle, yet profound, shaping the lives of those around him. He will always be remembered for his sharp mind and quick wit.

He honorably served for 22 years in the United States Air Force. His dedication to our country was undeniable. It was a defining aspect of his life and character.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mark’s name.
