Obituary For Dayna Mateo Rosado

In Loving Memory of Dayna Mateo Rosado

January 24, 1984 – April 26, 2025

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dayna Mateo Rosado on April 26, 2025, at the age of 41. A devoted mother, loving wife, daughter, treasured sister, and faithful friend, Dayna left us far too soon—but not without leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion.

Dayna brought light and joy to all who knew her. A dedicated and highly skilled paralegal, she was respected not only for her professionalism and work ethic, but also for her integrity, precision, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Beyond her career, it was her family that was the true center of her world. She especially loved spending time together at gatherings, where she could be found cooking, laughing, sharing stories, and making her presence known.

Dayna is survived by her loving husband, Alexie Rosado; her children, Jovan Rosado (Abby Shaw), Natalie Rosado, and Jeremiah Rosado; her mother, Peggy Loar, and her cherished siblings, Michelle Mateo, Stephen Mateo Jr., and Kellianne Loar (Michael Bell). She is also lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Katiria Rosado, and brothers-in-law Emanuel Rosado and Ferdinand Rosado, along with many nieces & nephews and a wide circle of close family members and dear friends who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frances "Granny" McGurk and Edward “Pop Pop” McGurk, and her uncle Edward “Eddie” McGurk, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her love for her family and friends, Dayna shared a special bond with her pets—her dog Milo and her cats Chief and Annie—who were constant companions and a source of joy.

Although words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Her service will be held on Monday, May 5th at 2:00pm in the chapel of Brandon Cremation and Funeral Services, at 106 Rolling Hills Blvd. Valrico, FL 33594.
