James Charles Philage, age 72 of Brandon, Florida passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026.

Born on November 10th, 1953 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, James was the son of Jean and Charles Philage, father of daughter Melisa Philage, son James Philage and wife Lily. Brother to Constance Brady and husband Robert, Nancy Corcoron and husband Jay and Robert Philage and wife Barbara. Grandfather to Patrick, Owen, Lila and Madix.

Throughout his life James was known for his strength and dedication to his friends and family. He could be a man of few words but when he spoke it was usually insightful, a funny joke or words of encouragement.

Jim had a love of fishing, guns and hanging out with his family and friends. He served his community and touched the lives of many people. You would almost always find Jim smiling and he would light up a room with his positive energy. He will be missed terribly.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at 11am at Bay Life Church, 1017 Kingsway Road, Brandon, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wanting to make a donation can be sent via Zelle (941-713-1257) to Jim's daughter Melisa. All donations will be dividing to Metropolitan ministries and March of Dimes, two organizations Jim regularly supported and a donation to the Bay Life Church who generously offered a place for us to hold our ceremony.

Jim will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
