Obituary For Kenneth Paul Ferrin

Kenneth Paul Ferrin, Age 88, of Seffner, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, with his adoring spouse Mary, by his side.

Born on December 20, 1937, in Brooklyn New York, Kenneth was known above all for two things: his unwavering love for his family and his tremendous pride in being a United States Marine.

His love for his country and the US Marine Corps began at a young age. So eager was he to serve that he attempted to enlist at just 17 years old, shortly after graduating from high school. However, his mother insisted that he wait until he turned 18 and refused to give her consent. True to his determination, Kenneth enlisted in the Marine Corps on his 18th birthday, beginning a lifelong devotion to the Marines and deep pride in having served his country.

Kenneth was a man of remarkable intelligence, quick wit, and an unforgettable sense of humor. Often the life of the party, he could light up a room with his laughter, captivate an audience with his stories, and offer words of wisdom that stayed with you long after the conversation ended. His love for his family, friends, and our Lord Jesus Christ, was at the heart of everything he did. He loved deeply and fiercely, wore his heart on his sleeve, and never hesitated to show those closest to him just how much they meant to him. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him, but his humor, stories, and wisdom will live on through the generations of family he leaves behind.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Colleen McGivern, Kim Haselden, Tracy Kuhnhenn, Kelly Ferrin, Michelle Murphy, and Tara Ferrin Thornton; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Kenneth Ferrin and Danny Ferrin.

A funeral mass will be held on October 24, 2026, at 1:30pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seffner, Forida.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
