Obituary For Stacey Lynn Rice

Stacey Lynn Rice, age 52, a native of Michigan and a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2025, in Brandon, Florida.

Born on August 1, 1973, in Port Huron, Michigan, Stacey was the daughter of Ronald and the late Sharon (Majeski) Rice. She grew up in Michigan and was a 1992 graduate of John Glenn High School in Westland. Later, she attended Alabama Community College from 2009–2010, where she proudly earned her CNA certificate.

Stacey was a hard worker and held a variety of jobs throughout her life. No matter where she worked, she always gave her best. While she took pride in each role, her favorite was working in the clerical field, where her organization, attention to detail, and warm personality made her shine.

Nothing in Stacey’s life brought her more joy or pride than her son, Hunter Gabriel Rice Wright, whom she always considered her greatest accomplishment. Stacey had a heart as big as her smile, and she lived by her favorite quote: “Be kind to everyone you meet; everyone is fighting some kind of battle.” Those who knew her can attest that she embodied that kindness every day.

Stacey is survived by her cherished son, Hunter Rice Wright of Scottsboro, AL; her father, Ronald B. Rice of Brandon, FL; her sisters Kristilee (Majeski) and husband Frank Moeller of Hamilton, OH, and Ronda Rice of Gladwin, MI; her niece and nephews Correy, ChevelleAnne, Jeremya, Austin Moeller (IN), and Blayne Martin (MI); and her great-nieces and great-nephews Wyatt, Cash, Emmylou, Espn, Ezra, Wade, Nova Jane, Ilyah, and Zeland (IN). She also leaves behind her boyfriend Dave Payne and his family; her son’s father Doug Wright and his daughter Nicole Wright; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Stacey was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sharon (Majeski) Rice, in April 2025; her grandparents Ben & Theresa Rice and Gene & Gen Majeski; her cousin Angelina Majeski Bauer; and many other loved ones who welcomed her home.

Stacey will be remembered for her kindness, her compassion, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence touched countless hearts, and her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Stacey will be announced at a later date.
