Obituary For Virginia Vivian Mote

Virginia Vivian Mote, lovingly known as Vivian, passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Branchland, West Virginia, Vivian carried the warmth and strength of her roots throughout her life. She later made her home in Valrico, Florida, where she built a life centered on love, family, and meaningful connections.

Vivian was the beloved wife of Eddie Mote for 62 years and a devoted mother to her son, David Mote (Debi), and her daughter, Jennifer Allen (Charlie). She was a proud and caring grandmother to Shelby, Matthew, Joshua, Lauren, and Leanne, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mika Grace Mote.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially reading, traveling the country in an RV, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Vivian’s kindness, warmth, and love for those around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless memories they shared together.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on May 20, 2026 at 11:00 am. Brandon Cremation & Funeral Services 106 Rolling Hills Blvd, Valrico, FL 33594.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to LifePath Hospice via Chapters Health System site at https://www.chaptershealth.org/locations/lifepath-hospice-sun-city-center-hospice-house/ .

Vivian will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

It was truly an honor to care for Virginia in her final days. She was such a sweet, gentle soul, and her presence will stay with me. The love that surrounded her was something very special, you could feel it in the way her family showed up for her, and in the care and devotion given so selflessly each day. To her family and especially her husband Eddie, I just want you to know that what you did mattered more than words can express. The comfort, dignity, and love you gave her during this time is a beautiful gift that not everyone receives. You made her feel safe, supported, and deeply loved until the very end. Please hold onto the memories of who she was, the warmth she carried, the kindness she gave, and the love she shared. That doesn't leave, it lives on through each of you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an intimate and meaningful time. I will always remember Virginia and the love that filled your home. Love, Jessica Shaw (Hospice Aide)

I'll never forget how Vivian made you feel like family from the first time I met her at ceramics. I enjoyed so much time with her and our partner in crime, Barbara Phillips. I know they are together now and looking down on all their loved ones. RIP! Until we meet again! 🥰

I remember every weekend going to my grandparents house doing my homework and also when I didn't know how to work on my homework she said her name was Mrs. McGillicuddy. It wasn't Nana anymore and we would do arts and crafts. She was the one that taught me diamond art
