Obituary for Virginia Vivian (Craddock) Mote

Virginia Vivian Mote, lovingly known as Vivian, passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Branchland, West Virginia, Vivian carried the warmth and strength of her roots throughout her life. She later made her home in Valrico, Florida, where she built a life centered on love, family, and meaningful connections.

Vivian was the beloved wife of Eddie Mote for 62 years and a devoted mother to her son, David Mote (Debi), and her daughter, Jennifer Allen (Charlie). She was a proud and caring grandmother to Shelby, Matthew, Joshua, Lauren, and Leanne, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mika Grace Mote.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially reading, traveling the country in an RV, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Vivian’s kindness, warmth, and love for those around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless memories they shared together.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a future date, to be announced.

Vivian will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

I'll never forget how Vivian made you feel like family from the first time I met her at ceramics. I enjoyed so much time with her and our partner in crime, Barbara Phillips. I know they are together now and looking down on all their loved ones. RIP! Until we meet again! 🥰
