Barbara Louise Titcomb Hackett 08/17/1922-03/20/2024 Born: August 17, 1922, in Brewer, Maine. Went home to Heaven, March 20, 2024 She was the daughter of: Ora M Titcomb and Beatrice F Davis Titcomb She had one brother: Paul Titcomb (deceased 9/12/2011) She is survived by: one daughter: Linda Hackett Pospichal and her “genius” son-in-love Tom Pospichal, residing in Valrico Fl. And survived by two sons: Steven E Hackett and John L Hackett residing in Bowdoinham, Maine She has three granddaughters: Barbara L Hackett of Maine. Anne Marie DeFranco Telford and her husband Rick, of NC and Patty A. DeFranco, of Fl. She has 4 grandsons: Anthony Lin DeFranco, of Ct, Steven Hackett Temple of Me., John E Pospichal of Fl. And one deceased grandson, Jeffrey T Pospichal (deceased 10/2/2011) She is survived by several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. One -deceased great grandson, – Dalton A Woodard 1/25/2015 She is survived by a niece Beverly Titcomb Smith & husband Lane. And a nephew, Ed Titcomb & wife Mary Alice. She is also survived, by, grand nieces and nephews, and many cousins!! She was an excellent cook! Loved her dogs, Lady, Lady #2 and Jedi!! She loved plays, musicals, singing, dancing and even directed a couple of hometown plays. She was very active in her community, as a Brownie/Girl Scout leader, involved in PTA, headed up fundraisers and headed up the Auxiliary of the Volunteer Fire Department. She and her husband owned and operated a lumber mill from 1944 to 1966. She served as a Deacon/Usher and in hospitality, in several churches in Maine, Conn., Sarasota & Sun City, Fla. She loved Jesus, her Lord and Savior!! She loved all her family, unconditionally. We will miss her jokes, laughter and love of life. Until we all meet again, in Heaven, Shalom! Rest in peace! There will be a celebration of her life, on April 7, 2024, at 2pm, at Beit Tehila Congregation, 1705 Lithia Pinecrest Rd., Brandon, Fl 33511 Her final resting place, will be at Bayview Cemetery, in Bowdoinham, Maine, August 17. 2024
