Bebe LaShon Wright-Jones

Bebe LaShon Wright-Jones October 28, 1957 - May 13, 2022 Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Mrs. BeBe LaShon Wright-Jones of Tampa, Florida passed away on Friday May 13, 2022. Mrs. Wright-Jones was born on October 28, 1957, in Atlanta, GA to the late Eddie Lee Wright & Helen “Sis” B. Carmichael. She was a native of Atlanta, GA and a resident of Tampa, FL for 19 years. “LaShon” or Shon as she was affectionately known was a take charge, tell it like it “T_I_IS” (in her words) type of southern woman. She would feed anyone that showed up at her doorstep, while saying exactly what was on her mind. She graduated from J.C. Murphy High School Class of 1975 and attended Georgia College & State University where she attained her B.A. in Home Economics. After finishing college LaShon married and from that union came her son Terrance “Terry” Bernard Pierce and daughter Arleathia “Lisa” Nicole Pierce. In 1991, LaShon began working as a Sr. Communications Operator for DeKalb Public Safety. There, she met her best friend, Mr. Carl B. Jones. They fell in love and relocated to Tampa, FL in 2003 and married in 2005. She was a devoted member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Choir, Drama, and Culinary Ministry. Her passion for serving the people of God and being used in His house was her life’s work. Her passion for cooking was how she showed love. She served faithfully until the pandemic began and her health started to decline. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Lee Wright and mother, Helen “Sis” B. Carmichael and other mother, Alice Jones. “LaShon” leaves to cherish her love and precious memories; husband, Carl B. Jones; son, Terrance (Nora) Pierce; daughter, Arleathia “Lisa” Pierce; daughter of the heart, Ashley Perdue, three grandchildren, Jalynn McPhaul, Julian Perdue and Jeremy Perdue; two sisters, Barbara Wright and Benita Fears; brother Jimmy N. Carmichael Sr.; Best friend/sister, Debbie McIntyre. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are too many to name as she was loved tremendously by all.
