Billy Joyce Mitchell Feb 6, 1943 - March 20, 2021 Obituary for Billy Joyce Mitchell Billy Joyce Mitchell passed away surrounded by loved ones at Brandon Regional Hospital early Saturday morning on March 20th, 2021. She was born in Havana, FL. on February 6th, 1943 to parents Ernestine Harvell and Corry Bryant. She was the eldest of six children and a lifelong Floridian. She is survived by her daughter Nicole Michele Mitchell and her granddaughter Cloe Anne Mitchell, both of Brandon, FL. As well as her brother Billy Bryant and her sisters; Carolyn McClain and Diane Sue Jones. Joyce was preceded in death by both parents; Ernestine Turvey and Corry Bryant. As well as her late husband Tony Mitchell, her sister Christine Bryant and her brother Jerry “Bimbo” Bryant. Joyce had an extended family and friends whom she grew up with and was loved by. If you were her friend, then you were a friend for life. Joyce put herself through nursing school and graduated at the top of her class. She made a career out of nursing, following her passion to take care of others. She always had a smile to greet you that lit up the room. Joyce’s nieces and nephews include; Melanie Joyce Park of New York, James “Jaime” Wheeler, Billie “Jessica” McGuirk, Sandy Keenan Roberts, Courtney Bryant, Sarah Bryant, Joseph Wallace, BJ Pippin, Michael Shane Pippin (All from the Tampa Bay area), Promise McClain, Cindy McClain, Christopher McClain, Peyton McClain (All of Georgia), and many more great nieces and nephews. She was a very strong and independent woman who loved animals and nature. She often loved to just sit by the water and enjoyed it’s beauty. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, reading, and listening to classic country music and often stayed busy. She was frequently found tending to her flowers or just sitting outside adoring the fresh air. A memorial service will be held at Brandon Cremation And Funeral Services, 621 N. Parsons Ave. Brandon, FL. 33510 on Sunday, June 20th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to some of Joyce’s favorite charities in her name; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Lighthouse Ministries, The Sea Turtle Foundation, Metropolitan Ministries, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Gary Sinise Foundation, World Wildlife Fund, ifaw, ASPCA Upcoming Events Visitation Gathering and Visitation Sunday, June 20, 2021 10:00 am to 11:00 am Brandon Cremation and Funeral Services 621 N.
