EILEEN MARY CUMMINGS Mar 20, 1950 - Apr 01, 2021 Obituary for EILEEN MARY CUMMINGS Eileen Mary Cummings, 71, preceded in passing by her parents Edmund “Pop” Cummings and Cecelia “Celie” Cummings, died surrounding by family on Thursday April 1, 2021. She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law Stephen Balasko, Tina Balasko, Timmy Balasko and Bonnie Balasko, her 2 grandchildren Jacob Balasko & Nicky Balasko, and her 7 sisters Maureen Keary, Pat & Jay Schofield, Kathy McInerney, Anne Falanga, Sue Cummings, Terry Fitterer & Virginia Mitchell and Mary & Jon Valentine. She maintained ongoing contact and stayed up to date on the lives of her numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and great-great niece. A retired IBM programmer for over 30 years, she enjoyed the company of family and friends. With little education she excelled in her career through hard work, dedication and seizing opportunities that were presented to her. Though obstacles presented themselves repeatedly, she persevered and succeeding in everything she did. The driving force behind her vigilance in life were for the future of her children and grandchildren. She always gave credit for her achievements to the support of her large loving family and the comfort of her friends. As a family member she was always present and available. As a friend she maintained unwavering loyalty. Her humble nature and positive outlook, along with empathy toward people and situations made her easy to love. Her viewing will be held at Brandon Cremation & Funeral Services on April 9, 2021 at 5-7pm. Catholic Services will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Riverview, FL on April 10,2021 at 10:30am.
