Genevieve Cross October 6, 1938 - June 25, 2023 In Loving Memory of Genevieve Ada Cross – Aka – Jay. Genevieve, a longtime resident of Thonotosassa, Florida passed away peacefully, and returned home on June 25 th , 2023 at the age of 84. Genevieve will be cremated at Brandon Cremation. There is no memorial service planned. Genevieve was born on October 6 th , 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Raised in Keansburg, NJ on Forest Ave. by her mother Genevieve Baxter Cross and Father Clifford Cross. Genevieve attended and graduated High School from Red Bank Catholic School. Genevieve was a master with numbers, had planned to attend college to become an accountant, instead she decided to start a family and took the career path as a book keeper/secretary. Genevieve was also a avid dancer and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. She enjoyed collecting elephants and at one time had over 250. Genevieve also had an eye for Victoria porcelain dolls. In her later years she learned to crochet, watching her old spaghetti westerns and especially taking care of her little girls, Sugar (proceeded by) Sassy her little Yorkie. She will be missed. Genevieve married Robert A. Bennett. She had one son,Clifford W. Bennett. Genevieve had other marriages to, James Carson and John A Plumacher (the love of her life). She later lived her child hood dream and moved to Florida in 1983 with her husband John A Plumacher. Genevieve was very involved within the community where she lived. While making many friends & and sometimes not, she sat on the board of directors at Bay Hills Village, as the treasurer for the association for over 2 decades and was a major influence while sitting on the board. Due to health problems she had to step down, but still stayed very much involved and passed her knowledge on. Genevieve was also a lifetime dog lover, she had several as a young girl and took her love for animals into her adult life. Genevieve leaves behind her only son Clifford W. Bennett and her 4 legged love,Sassy a 10lb Yorkie. May the Gates of Heaven Open and Accept Your Soul as Jesus Christ as your savor, Amen. Always Loved, you will be missed but never forgotten.
