George "Bucky" Manson Collins 02/14/1964 - 04/09/2023 George "Bucky" Manson Collins, age 59 passed away unexpectedly at home April 9, 2023. Bucky was born in Columbus, OH on February 14, 1964 to Diane LeMaster (McCorkle) and Malcolm Collins. He moved to Florida in the 90's. He worked in the flooring industry for many years and enjoyed his career. He was employed by Coastal Floors of Bradenton, FL. His love for flooring came from his dad, Mac, Uncle Manson and brother Rick showed him the ropes. He spent a lot of his younger years bowling and playing sports. He was an avid sports fan of any kind but you would mostly catch him rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Pittsburgh Steelers, Jeff Gordon or Chase Elliott. You would typically catch Bucky in his garage watching sports and waving or talking to anyone and everyone who passed by. He never knew a stranger. Bucky touched so many lives with his Big heart, contagious smile and love for his friends and family. He was a huge mommas boy and he was so proud of that. He had nicknames for most including his stepfather Carl "The coronel" and his daughter "The Kid". He had a special love for his daughter and grandkids. His contagious smile, laugh and positive outlook on life will be Soley missed by so many. Life brought him to Florida but he will always be a buckeye. Bucky is survived by his mother Diane (Carl) LeMaster, Daughter Jennifer Canterbury(Cheeseman) "The Kid", his grandchildren Bailey, Ryan, Jase and Justin. His brother, Rick Collins. Stepmother, Sandy Collins. Many stepbrothers, stepsisters, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. He is proceeded in death by his father Mac Collins, grandparents George and Doroty Collins and George and Clara McCorkle. Services will be held Thursday April 27, 2023 11am at Brandon Cremation and Funeral located at 106 Rolling Hilld Blvd Valrico, FL Please wear casual attire including Buckeye T-shirt’s (or any thing sports), ball caps, tennis shoes and shorts/jeans. A Celebration of life will also be held in Columbus, OH for family and friends there at a later date.
