Jane Galvin Obituary September 28th 1942 - October 9th 2023 Janet Annette Galvin passed away suddenly at her home in Lithia on Monday the 9th of October 2023. She was 81 years of age. Born 28th September 1942 in Dulverton, England, Jane (as she was known) was a very proper and delightful British lady. Daughter of Patrick Caldicott Galvin and Sybil Sweetman she was raised in Bristol, England and was educated at a private convent school. She had one brother, Hubert Galvin, who she adored. Jane loved to share stories of her childhood. Going on walks in the English countryside, and living a simple idyllic life. Jane was a talented knitter and seamstress, and made countless outfits and knitted sweaters for the grandchildren when they were young. She was a devoted and very proud Grandmother. Jane was a nurse in the U.K and married Paul Browning in 1965 in Bristol, England. They, as a couple moved to South Africa in 1981. She loved living in South Africa, and even lived in Zambia for a while. She loved the outdoors and nature and fondly recalled the times she went on safari. In the 1990’s she emigrated to the USA to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Jane had a wonderful green thumb, and always had the most magnificent gardens wherever she lived. Her roses were breathtaking! Jane is survived by her three children, son, Nick Browning (UK), and his children, Michaela Browning, Shawn Browning, son, Stephen Browning (South Africa) and his son James Browning and her daughter Caroline Browning (Florida, USA) and her children, Matthew Nunes, James Nunes, Catherine Nunes, Elisabeth Browning. William Nunes and Charles Nunes. Jane was a woman of great faith. A Catholic Burial will be at Bloomingdale Community Cemetery at 11am on Monday, 16th October 2023.
