Joseph "Joey" Martin Nicholson June 20, 1995 - March 10, 2022 Loving father, son, brother, and friend. Joseph “Joey” Martin Nicholson, 26, of New Port Richey, FL passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2022. Joey was born on June 20, 1995, to Peter and Jean Nicholson in Brandon, FL. Joey brought so much joy and laughter to everyone he knew. He had a way of lightening any mood with his nonchalant one-liners and hilarious way of letting people know what was on his mind. He was selfless and always willing to lend a hand. He cherished the relationships in his life and could always make people feel accepted and comfortable. Joey loved his son Lucas more than anything in the world. He only got to be a dad for a short time, but he was darn good at it and so proud of his son. Joey was kind, gentle and faithful to the core. His love for his family was constant and unshakable. Our hearts are broken. Our family is better because Joey was in it, so we will press on with a greater love and appreciation for each other in his honor. We will forever cherish the laughs, love, time and memories we have had with him and because of him. Joey was so loved and will forever be missed. Joey was preceded in death by his father Peter and uncle Daniel Nerio. He is survived by his mother, Jean Nicholson; son, Lucas Nicholson (4 months); sister, Tasha Eisenman (Matthew); grandmother, Eleanor Nerio; Aunts, Tonie Campbell (Sean); Terri Haswel (Alan); Uncles, John Brown (Sharon); Frederick Nerio Jr; cousins, Steven Brown (Lleana); John Brown III; Marissa Ramos (Aaron); Brianne Mendoza (Richard); Shauna Swartz (William); Tara Collins (Correy); Daniel Cronin (Melissa); Rachel Nerio; John Nerio; Joshua Nerio; Frederick Nerio III; Solomon Nerio (Katie); Michael Nerio.
