LaVerne DuBois

LaVerne DuBois 07/16/1931-05/04/2024 LaVerne passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024 A resident of The Featherrock senior residence in Valrico Florida. Born in Greenfield MA July 16, 1931 The only child of Wallace and Prudence (Taylor) Langille Attended The Mt. Herman School and later moved to Athol MA and had her senior year and graduation from Athol High School. Attended The Henry Haywood Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 as a Registered Nurse. Married the love of her life Richard DuBois on September 7, 1953 in Athol MA. Seventy years, five children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren who all felt her kindness and love. After retiring from nursing LaVerne and Dick (Richard) moved to Valrico Florida and summered in Prince Edward Island Canada and three years in Henderson NC. They enjoyed traveling through all fifty states. Laverne was always ready to lead a hand, running two women’s catholic groups although she was Baptist. She loved doing community work, being a member of The Brandon Homemakers since 1991. Laverne is survived by her Husband Richard (Dick) of Valrico FL. Richard (Rick) DuBois Jr., his wife Sue and their children Mike and Laura. Jean (DuBois) Fay, Mike and children Chris, Michele, Briana and great grandchildren Janessa and Tyler.  Maryanne (DuBois) Coulter and Doug. We lost Maryanne to Cancer. David DuBois, Rhonda and children Danny and Kelly. Glen DuBois, Norma and children Sydney and Cole.
