She was preceded in death by her father Roy Scott and husband Mitchell Carlton Owens. She is survived by her mother, Nila Lucille Scott, daughter Valerie Marks, son-in-law Carl Marks, son Jonathan Owens, sister Rita Hardin and her husband Steve and brother Roy and his wife Evelyn.
