Paul Douglas Saunders Jr . November 10, 1989 - August 14, 2023 Paul Douglas Saunders Jr., was tragically taken from this world on August 14, 2023. Paul was known to be a man you could count on, always willing to really connect with people, to get to know them well, and to be there when you needed him, even in your darkest hour. He was generous in the best way a person could be, by giving his time, attention, and love. He had a great sense of humor. He was brave and courageous in so many ways, and joyful to be riding the bikes that he so loved. He did not hesitate to stand up for what he believed in or to defend the people he cared about. The beauty of his soul is reflected in the huge circle of friends that loved him. We will all miss him dearly. Paul has been preceded in death by many close friends, and we are happy to think of them and a happy reunion. But, sadly, he leaves behind in this world many who loved him, who were blessed to be a recipient of his love. Paul loved many over the years, hundreds of friends knew him to be the good and loving person he was. Please remember those friends and family who will be missing Paul - Sadly, Paul is survived by his daughter Valkyrie. And he has a baby not yet born, he was looking toward the future and the blessings that come with a baby on the way; now sadly Paul is never to be known by that young one. His daughter Val will always remember her daddy who was also a daddy in spirit to her young sisters. His parents survived him, Paul Saunders, Sr. and Pauline Alfonso. He has left forever his mother, Sandy, and he will be sorely missed. He will also be missed by Vinny, who was a big part in bringing up a boy and keeping him going when Paul grew and grew and then grew some more. Our Paul grew into a man. So many others also grew right alongside Paul. His sisters Jessica and Vicky, and their big sister Maria, and he also had a brother, Joey. His sister Sunshine also says farewell sorrowfully. Indeed, Paul was a beloved uncle to their children, he had many nieces and nephews. Also, aunts and uncles will mourn his passing. Paul and his siblings, despite being apart during most of their childhood, are a beautiful and caring family and all will miss him dearly. There are also numerous cousins and friends. He was loving and supportive to his cousins, Michelle and Christina. They have known Paul since such a young age. So have friends, too, who remember Paul stepping right up to them and saying, "Hi! My name is Paul!" Seeing that handsome, little, friendly kid on his bike or his skateboard, then staying friends over years. We thank you family and friends for accepting his love, friendship, and generous nature. Services will be held for Paul Thursday, August 24, 202 3 At 5 p.m., family and close friends will gather, share, pray together. At 6 p.m., all friends welcome to join in saying farewell to Paul .
