Robert Sanders

Robert Sanders January 22, 1982 - December 16, 2022 Born in New London CT at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital on 1/22/1982 to Diane Hall & Robert Sanders. As a youth Rob was infatuated and excelled at basketball, he matched his god given talents with hard work & dedication achieving countless awards & accolades throughout his career including AAU championships with the vagabonds, numerous MVP awards throughout the east coast between camps and tournaments, all state high school honors & NLHS high scoring records before attending STM were he would be nationally recruited before ultimately deciding to commit to top ranked providence college and becoming a regular show stopper, often making ESPN Highlights reels. Rob continued to pursue his passion after college playing professional basketball overseas in various countries before settling in Florida to start his beautiful family. While overseas Rob met the love of his life that he would eventually marry on 12/10/12. They begin to expand their family welcoming son Kairo on 10/14/2013 and expecting daughter Isla in April of 2023. Rob stood out for his larger then life stature standing at 6”7 but his personality overshadowed his size. To say people gravitated towards Rob would be a understatement, he was witty, intelligent, charismatic & genuine. Effortlessly demanding any room he entered, he was loved beyond measure & will be missed immensely by those that were blessed to have known him. Rob was a protector over those he loved, loyal and adamant about standing in his beliefs. He loved music, taking pictures, aliens and grilling. Rob passed on 12/16/2022, Survived by his wife Nicole, son Robert, son Kairo, daughter Isla, mother, brother & sister.
