SHIRLEY FAY LEWIS 09/16/1936 - 12/16/2024 Shirley Fay "Big Mommy" Lewis, 88, departed this life peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Tampa, FL. Born September 16, 1936, in Kingston, Jamaica to Wilbert Hart and Bernice Chevannes, Shirley devoted her life to family while successfully managing the family business for over 30 years. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she joins her beloved husband Ernest Lewis, her parents, and two brothers in eternal rest. Her memory lives on through her children Doria Thompson, George Lewis (Yumara), Arlene Edwards, Sherol Earle (Anthony), and Ouida Lewis; grandchildren Kimesha and Hasani Thompson, Kevin and Nicholas Edwards, Brandi and Damion Earle, Ashley and Yani Lewis; and great-granddaughters Kayla Z Guevara and Alexa Edwards. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 4:00 pm at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church.
