Ira Melvin Williams Sr. was born on March 30, 1954, and passed away on March 10, 2025. He was born in Ft. Myers, Florida to Dora Edith Cartright and Ira McCullen Williams.

Ira was previously married to Cody Baker and had two beautiful children: Ira Melvin Williams Jr. and Stephen Robert Williams.

On March 24, 1982, Ira married Diana and also accepted her three children: Sheila, Tammy, and John. They were a family of seven that shared lots of love, kindness, joy, and happiness.

Ira was faithful to his family and was always there to help in any way possible. The love and support for his family and friends was endless. 

Ira had a passion for flowers and plants that was introduced to him by his grandfather when he was a young boy. He would treat each plant with so much love and care, that each one bloomed with flowers and gave him and others such happiness and fulfillment.  

Ira was a “Jack of all trades” and a master of all. No matter what job or task Ira was confronted with, he was patient and persisted in fixing it. His knowledge and talents were learned from hands-on experience. He was a very hard worker at any task he performed. His endurance at times seemed endless. He always tried to share that knowledge with his children and grandchildren.

Ira leaves behind his wife Diana, his Mom Edith; sons: Ira (April), Stephen, and John (preceded in death); daughters: Sheila (Chuck) and Tammy; Grandchildren: Chloe, Ira III, Ryan, Michelle (Marco), Robert, John, Isabella, Shelby (Dustyn), Wesley, Nathan and Breanna; brothers: Jack (Cadillac), Bobby, Roy (preceded in death) and Stephen (preceded in death); sisters: Paula (Dale) and Kate (Rex); many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Great grandchildren: Karsyn (preceded in death), Kamryn, Ava, Roman, and Julius.

He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
