Albert Edward Johnson Jr. June 10, 1943 - August 15, 2022  Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother and Friend Al was born on June 10, 1943, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Albert Sr. and Leslie. He was called home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2022. Al served his country in the United States Air Force, based in Tampa at MacDill Air Force Base. He retired from the US Postal Service in 2006. He is known best for his sense of humor, pranks and love for cooking. He was blessed with an athletic talent which he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Al is survived by his wife of 57 years Sandy, his children Jeff (Laura), Dody (Matt/Chet/John) and Mike (Jessica), his grandchildren Katie, Robert (Christiana), Corey (Jessie), Alexa, Aleah, Matthew, Alayna (Carter), Bryan, Ally and Laura, his great-grandchildren, Madi, Ashlyn, Lillian, Kaelyn, Lilly, Holly, M'Kayla and another on the way, his brother Charlie (Patti), his sister Becky and many friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held August 29th, 2022, at 11:00 am at Cleveland Heights Baptist Church, 3120 Cleveland Heights Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33803 . The family would like to invite all to join them for food and refreshments in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. Al will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue , Bushnell, FL 33513. Date and time to be announced soon.
