William Peter Stanton January 8, 1935 - August 13, 2022 Bill was born in Hubbard, Ohio January 8, 1935. He passed from this life on August 13, 2022. Married on August 10, 1963, he is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Catherine Almasy Stanton and three daughters Mary Beth, Carolyn, and Catherine. He has two granddaughters Catherine and Elizabeth Long. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and both siblings, Edward and Teresita. He had a long career as a materials engineer spanning from the 1960’s at NASA to nuclear reactor engineering for submarines in Connecticut, and finally back to NASA for the latter part of his career. He enjoyed his work and co-workers making many contributions in his efforts. Bill loved his family and developed an interest in horses alongside his daughters. He spent many hours volunteering for therapeutic riding programs in Connecticut and Alabama. His other interests included hunting and fishing. He enjoyed time in the outdoors retiring to Montana where he and Catherine spent 18 years splitting time between grandchildren in Montana and daughters in Florida. A family service will be held on August 31. The family requests that contributions to Life Path Hospice be made in lieu of flowers.
