Arthur Marion Payne 07/04/1947 - 12/29/2024 Arthur "Buddy" Marion Payne, aged 77, of Brandon, Florida, passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 29, 2024. Arthur was born on July 4, 1947, in Elberton, Georgia to Roy Marion Payne and Lassie Philyaw Payne. Arthur was known for his tireless work ethic and his devotion to his family and friends. He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1972. He was a Millwright by trade and a proud member of Local Union 1000. Arthur "Buddy" is survived by his daughters Kimberly Kelso (Jason) and Deborah Powers (David); grandchildren Erin Baker (Jonathan), Austin Kelso, Kamryn Kelso, Cooper Powers, and Gunner Powers; great-grandchildren Oliver Baker and Noah Baker. He is also survived by his siblings and in-laws, Felton Payne (Elaine), Gail Hulme (Doug), Candace Anders (Fred), and Marie Young; multiple nieces; and a nephew. He will be deeply and profoundly missed by all who knew him. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Peggy D. Payne, and his parents Roy and Lassie Payne. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8, 2025. Family visitation begins at 1:00 pm, the service begins at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
