KATHRYN ELLEN LANE 03/18/1941 – 01/07/2025 Loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend Kathryn Ellen Lane passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on January 7, 2025, from a longtime battle with dementia at the Rose Castle facility with us and hospice by her side. Kathryn was born on March 18, 1941, in Des Moines, IA. She planted roots with her husband, Rick Lane, in Portland, OR, where she was a registered nurse for many years. She loved sailing, traveling, art, reading, music, Silver Sneakers classes, and a good piece of chocolate or her favorite dark chocolate Haagen Dazs ice cream bar. Most of all, she loved God and was a true servant as she volunteered her time to help others. Kathryn is survived by: Nephew - John Davis and his wife, Terri Davis Nephew - Steve Habib and his wife, Lori Habib Nephew - Doug Habib and his wife, Becky Habib Nephew - Phil Habib and his wife, Jen Habib Predeceased family: Husband - Rick Lane Father - Frederick Peck Mother - Margaret Peck Sister - Virginia Habib Sister - Carolyn Davis Brother-in-law - Chuck Habib Thank you to all who prayed for her, to our friends at Ruach Ministries, our extended family, all of her nursing school friends who always kept in touch, and to everyone who had a hand in helping us care for her.
