Billi-Jo M. Martin 01/23/1966- 03/02/2024 Billi-Jo Martin (nee) Smith was 58. She was the daughter of Arlene M. and the late William A. Smith, formerly of Ellwood City, PA. She left this earth the afternoon of March 2, 2024. with her family at her side. She was hospitalized in the ICU and was placed in palliative care of Hospice. She graduated from Lawrence County Vo-Tech, class of 1983 in New Castle, PA. After moving to Florida, she was employed as a dispatcher in the telecommunications industry. My daughter will be greatly missed by many. She was a loving daughter, my best friend and confidant who brought me much joy and laughter. I will miss her daily phone calls, visits, and smiling face; but most of all her hugs. She was devoted to her family and would do her best to help if anyone needed her. She enjoyed cooking, playing app games, social media, and loving on her support dogs, Taz, Slinky, and little Tiny. Billi-Jo is survived by the light of her life, her daughter Anna M. Martin, her mother Arlene, her significant other Oscar Stewart, her aunts Janet Schaas of Wampum, PA, and Linda Salomon of New Castle, PA, as well as several other cousins and friends. She was preceeded in death by her father William (Bill), paternal grandparents Arthur and Kathaleen Smith, maternal grandparents Ercell and Rita Hogue, a cousin Vivian G. Rinde, an aunt Patricia Smith Foreman, her uncles J. Ralph Smith, Richard L. Smith, and Gene R. Smith. The family would like to thank the nurses at Brandon Hospital and Life Path Hospice for their care and compassion to Billi-Jo and her family. Per her wishes, after cremation, her remains will be interred with her maternal grandmother.
