Heidi Doris Latlippe-Moody April 04, 1965 - February 14, 2023 Heidi Doris Latlippe-Moody, 57, passed away in the early hours of February 14, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Auburn, Maine, to Robert (1927-2007) and Phyllis (née Huntington) Latlippe (1930-2014) on April 4, 1965. She grew up in Auburn with her two brothers, traveling across the country and having fun with cousins and neighborhood friends. She attended Walton Grade School and Edward Little High School (class of 1983), where she made enduring friendships. Her childhood was an idyllic time, which she always recalled warmly. After completing high school, she left Maine to serve her country in the United States Navy. During her time in service, she rose to Petty Officer. She was stationed all around the globe, from Italy to Diego Garcia, furthering her love of traveling. She made lifelong friends with many of the people she encountered. She received an honorable discharge after completing her tenure in the navy. Towards the end of her service, she met her ex-husband, and they later started a family. Her discharge did not end her service to her country: she continued helping those in need by volunteering as a social worker for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Here she aided service members going through financial and personal strife. She always prided herself on being able to assist those in need. While she found contentment in helping others, she never lost her love of traveling. Through the years, she made many cross-country trips from California to Maine to Florida; when she had to stay local, she always looked for obscure places. She was always planning her next trip. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who created a nickname for everyone. Her children were affectionately known as Nicky, JR, Tori-Kate, Bebo, and Nonos. She looked forward to visits from her children and grandkids and instilled in them a love of gardening and traveling. She had a fantastic memory of all the places she had been to and would point out the spot and tell the story when revisiting a place. Her five children survive her: Nicholas (m. Morgan) Moody of Oldsmar, FL; Jesse (m.Sheri) Moody of Cedar Crest, NM; Victoria Moody of Brandon, FL, Benjamin Moody of Brandon, FL, Noah Moody of Brandon, FL; six grandchildren: Kaleb, Brooke, Emily, Heather of Oldsmar FL, Christopher and Pearl of Cedar Crest, NM; sister-in-law Teri Latlippe of Turner ME; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Phyllis Latlippe; brothers: Michael Latlippe and Robert Latlippe Jr. Family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors will miss her.
