Jack Davis March 25, 1929 - August 25, 2021 Obituary Jack Davis, 92, passed away Aug. 25, 2021. He was born on March 25, 1929 in Ducktown, Tennessee to Robert L. Davis and Dora L. Pack Davis. He attended the small town Ducktown HS and was named All State football player. Instead of continuing on to college under a scholarship he chose to marry Alene and join the military. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Mae Alene Adams Davis. Both Jack and Alene loved Tennessee and made trips all their lives to visit with family there. He was a long term resident of Brandon, FL and retired with an honorable discharge from MacDill Air Force Base in 1972 after serving 22 years. After retirement he went on to work at the U S Post Office for 20 years in Brandon. Jack’s favorite past times were fishing, walking, and traveling. He is also predeceased by two sisters and four brothers. Survived by his son Robert M. Davis and his family of California and his daughter Debra J. Dadak and her family of Massachusetts. In addition, there are still many generations of in-law family that he was close with that will miss him along with close friends the Talbot family of Brandon, Fl. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 10:00 amat Brandon Cremation and Funeral Services, 621 N Parsons Ave, Brandon FL 33510. Interment will be that afternoon at 2pm at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell with color guard and flag presentation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Veteran's Memorial Park in Brandon, FL.
