Jerry Alen Byrd 08/23/1958  -  12/13/2023 Jerry Alen Byrd was born in Mansfield, OH on August 23, 1958. He was raised by his hard-working single mother, Pauline Hall and grew up with his brother, Bill, and his sister, Debbie. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He started his military career as an Electrical Power Production Technician in England, but it was his assignment to the Philippines that lead him to meet his loving and devoted wife, Rufina. He retired out of the Air Force due to kidney failure and settled in Tampa, FL. Jerry and Fina had two children: their daughter, Catherine and their son, Jerrime. Catherine married Bryan and had a son named Bryan Jr. Jerrime married Ilona and had a daughter named Victoria and a son named Jackson. Jerry was a born-again Christian man of faith. He had a generous heart for the bus ministry. He and his wife served God for many years in their church. He was an active church member, but his life was filled with many health complications as a kidney transplant recipient. He can now rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. We are grateful to have had him in our lives as a husband, father, and grandfather. We are comforted to know we will see him again in heaven. He will be missed but will be fondly remembered and loved dearly.
