Robert H. Volk 05/01/1938 - 12/12/2023 Robert H. Volk — “Bob” to those that knew and loved him — born May 1 st , 1938, peacefully passed on Tuesday, December 12 th , at 2:29am, after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. Bob is survived by his wife Diane, son Chris, and daughter-in-law Shanna. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob graduated from Woodward High School in 1954. After high school, he proudly served his country as a Marine before pursuing his passion in art and design. Bob attended and graduated from the prestigious Art Center in Los Angeles, California. After graduation, he briefly moved to Chicago, but, missing the beautiful weather in Cincinnati, moved back home to enjoy a successful career — first with Lipson & Jacob and later with Northlich Stolley, from which he retired in 2000. Awards, accolades, and recognition are too many to list. Anyone who knew Bob remembers his love of all things music, recorded and live, attended Woodstock where he met friends that remained close for a lifetime, and his lifelong creed of “Work hard and play harder.” A quick shout out to the Dilly’s crew! In 2000, after retiring, Bob and Diane moved to Tampa, Florida, to enjoy the fruits of their labor and some deserved time in the sun away from the cold and snow. Bob had a few good years in Tampa, getting back to golf, and joining a pool league with friends before dementia began to really take its toll. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A military service will be held in the greater Cincinnati area in the spring of 2024. A date has not yet been set. Details to follow; please reach out to Diane with questions. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help find a cure at www.alz.org .
