JUDITH ANN “SANDY” REVAK

JUDITH ANN “SANDY” REVAK Feb 26, 1949 - Jan 15, 2021 Obituary for JUDITH ANN “SANDY” REVAK Judith Ann “Sandy” Revak, 71, of Seffner, FL, died peacefully at her home on Friday, January 15, 2021. Sandy was born in Charleroi, PA on February 26, 1949, and was the first Andrew and Helen Filak’s four children. Andrew was a World War II Veteran (Army) and a steel worker. Helen was a homemaker, a munitions worker (Rosie the Riveter) and a hotel manager. Formerly a teen model, Sandy graduated from Belle Vernon High School. She declared to her mother “I’m going to marry that boy” upon meeting her high school classmate, Ronald Revak. And sure enough, she did. After Ron’s death in 1992 there was never a man who could replace him in her life. Through the years Sandy worked as a fitness instructor, a secretary, a saleswoman, an ALF Activities Director and as an Outreach Counselor for Elder Net at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay – a job for which she was perfectly suited and she greatly loved. Always positive and optimistic, Sandy was rarely without a smile. She loved animals – especially dogs – and had a way of making children feel special. Her knack for gift giving was unmatched, as she took great joy in making other people happy. Her unyielding positive attitude helped her survive a difficult battle with esophageal cancer in 2014. Above all else she loved her children the most, though her precious dogs were a close second – Stella, Kiser, Jake, Kirby and Chuck. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Ron in January, 1992 and her father Andrew in December, 2004. She is survived by her mother Helen Filak, her sister Andrea Filak, her brother Michael Filak and his wife Caroline and daughters Kristen and Ali, her brother Jeffrey Filak and his wife Bianca and daughter Natalia and son Jordan, her daughter Kimberly Revak, her son Adam Revak, and also by her beloved dog Chuck. We will miss her terribly. The family will hold a private memorial service later this year in Sandy’s hometown of Belle Vernon, PA.
