Leroy "Lee" Thomas Drust

Leroy "Lee" Thomas Drust July 25, 1939 – June 6, 2021 Obituary for Leroy "Lee" Thomas Drust Leroy (“Lee”) Thomas Drust, born July 25, 1939, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to parents Julia S. (Galley) Drust and Thomas Drust, passed away on June 6, 2021 in Brandon, Florida. Lee was raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with his brother, Joseph Drust. He attended Lehigh University where he was active in the U.S. Air Force ROTC and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961 at the rank of Lieutenant. During his military career he served his country at home and abroad in such places as South Carolina; Mississippi; Florida; Louisiana; Izmir, Turkey; and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. Lee retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1970 at the rank of Captain. Upon retirement from the military, Lee pursued a career in sales and business. In addition to his military service, Lee was particularly proud of his nearly ten years of work with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He retired to Sun City Center, Florida in 2015. Throughout his life, Lee enjoyed reminiscing on his military service with his many loved ones, working outside and caring for his lawn, watching horse racing, and doting on his dogs. He also enjoyed watching Jeopardy—usually answering more questions correctly than the television contestants—and playing chess. He was greatly loved. Lee is survived by his wife, Suzie Ann (Fissel) Drust; one child – Dennis Lee Drust and spouse Raechel Drust, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania; three children from a previous marriage —LeeAnn Drust and spouse Kelly Moxley of Falling Waters, West Virginia; Thomas David Drust and his partner Earnest Hines of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; Todd Alan Drust and spouse Lisa Drust of Hagerstown, Maryland; two stepchildren—Robin Ann Thayer, and Sally Jo Robelli, along with their spouses—and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and his stepson, Ricky Allen Kitzmiller. The day and location of interment are to be determined.
