RICHARD L. “RICKY” PHELPS, JR. Feb 10, 1973 - Mar 07, 2021 Obituary for RICHARD L. “RICKY” PHELPS, JR. Richard L. “Ricky” Phelps, Jr., 48, of Thonotosassa, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. Ricky was born in Tampa, FL. He attended Thonotosassa Elementary, Sligh Jr. High, and King High School. Ricky married Hollie Long September 22, 2000; combining their families of three boys. He was employed by Quality Precast for many years. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Rick Phelps, Sr.; grandparents, Victor and Sara Phelps, Stephen Baird, Sr.; Uncle Stevie Baird, Jr.; and stepson, Kevin Brown. Survivors include his wife of more than 20 years, Hollie; Mother, Debra (Randy) Ross; son, Austin (Morgan) Phelps; their children, Ryder and Meridah; Stepson, Eric Brown; Sister, Patricia (Artie) Gray and their children, Justin Phelps (Olivia Perez) and Jordan Gray; Brothers, Randall Ross and his children, Randall Jr., and Aubrey; Michael Ross (Carli Copeland); Sisters, Angela (Chris) Duque and her son Wyatt; and Joy (Chrisler) Torrence; Grandmother, Barbara Baird; Mother in law Sue Haley; uncles, Mike (Cheryl) Phelps and their son, John and family; Robby (Cindy) Phelps, their sons Andy, Kyle, and Dustin and their families. Other survivors are Kelli (Steven) Loori and their sons Luca and Liam; Heidi (Jason) Wilhite, and their sons, Nathan, Dillon, and Mason; as well as many other Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins in several states. Ricky is also survived by his very special friend, Chase Middleton. Survivors also include Billy Lawson, Archie and Shontella Cox and family. There will be a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021, 2pm at West Thonotosassa Baptist Church, 10625 First Street, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
