Thomas John Donnelly 07/16/1963-03/17/2024 Thomas John (aka Wally) Donnelly, 60 of Brandon, FL, formerly of Southington, CT and the Greater Utica, NY area, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday March 17, 2024. Wally possessed a quirky but loveable wit and sense of humor and an innocent goodness that charmed and endeared all who knew him. It was impossible not to like Tom immediately upon making his acquaintance. To his family, it is fitting that Wally, being sure to make the ultimate “Irish Good-bye”, passed on St. Patrick’s day. Wally had a true love and gift for music and was a percussionist and valued member of various bands including the “The Not Quite” “Trainwreck” and the “Willie Kramer” band. One quote from the article on the history of the Not Quite reads “…we go through three drummers over the next few months before finally lucking out and finding the hard-hitting, Who-heavy Tom Donnelly.” Wally was a joy to see on drums, a place that he seemed to be completely at ease and totally in his element. While not totally giving up music, Tom also eventually settled into work as an anodizing specialist at Light Metals Coloring, Southington, CT and eventually at Sumax Cycle Products, Oriskany, NY. In fact, Wally, also known as “T-Bone” worked on parts for the hit TV series, Orange County Choppers and even made it on screen a time or two. Wally is pre-deceased by his Parents Thomas E and Jean C (nee Goodwin) Donnelly and a nephew Kevin Pisko. He is survived by his daughter Katie Hubbard, her mother Roxanne and his grandson Sawyer, his sisters Gail (Sebby) and her husband Matt Quinn of Brandon, FL, Tracey (AT) and her husband Mike Pisko of Plantsville, CT and his brother Sean (Beav) and his wife Rene Donnelly of Glastonbury, CT, several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins. He is also survived by his long-time partner, Donna Abbott. Wally was a unique and loving soul who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Tom loved all our family reunions and especially “cousins weekends“. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in Upstate New York.
