William Earl Lowe Jr. 09/28/1947 – 05/27/2024 William Earl Lowe Jr., affectionately known as Bill, passed peacefully at his home on May 27th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Bill was a beloved brother, father, Granny Pop, soon-to-be great Granny Pop, uncle, and friend. He grew up in Zephyrhills, Florida, where he developed a lifelong passion for adventure and the great outdoors. Bill was a man of many interests and talents. He deeply loved riding his motorcycle, feeling the freedom of the open road. His passion for flying airplanes allowed him to see the world from above, while scuba diving let him explore the wonders beneath the sea. A skilled photographer, Bill captured the beauty of life through his lens, cherishing moments that would last forever. Whether walking through nature or simply enjoying the feeling of grass beneath his feet in his backyard, Bill found joy in anything that kept him outdoors or without his shoes on. Those who knew Bill well knew he had a mischievous side. His joy was never quite so evident as when he was up to no good or playing a prank on someone. His personality and playful spirit remained with him until the very end. Bill was rough around the edges and unapologetically himself, which is a big part of what endeared him to so many. Above all, Bill was a family man who loved fiercely and selflessly. He would sacrifice anything he had to help others. Bill was called home to join his parents, William Earl Lowe and Olivia Lowe as well as his half-sister Dorothy Painter, who preceded him. He is survived by his son William Lowe III, his daughters Michelle Thoey and Melody (Casey) Nelson, his sisters Marjorie Crayton, Rachel Bell, Bernice (Dexter) Uterhardt, and Joann Hunter, his grandchildren Jasmine Thoey, Dylan Thoey, Caitlyn Nelson, and William Lowe IV, and was expecting his first great-grandchild in November 2024. Bill is loved and will be missed for his vibrant spirit, generous heart, and playful nature. His legacy of love, adventure, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on June 2nd at Vine Church in Zephyrhills with the public viewing to begin at 2 P.M. and the service to begin at 3 P.M. Bill will be laid to rest at Oakside Cemetery, may he rest in peace. To view the service virtually, go to Bill's Facebook page, where it will be live streamed.
